Titles & graphics for BBC network factual drama

• Planet of the Apemen

  Frank was commissioned to deliver an extensive package of CGI, graphics and animated content for landmark BBC production, Planet of The Apemen. The two-part factual drama tells the story of the epic battle for earth between the Neanderthal and Homo Sapiens.

  We developed the programme’s graphic packaging and a series of in-programme transitions which linked the dramatic narrative to factual inserts. The visual idea is inspired by DNA lifestream; animated threads of light that burst into life during the titles and feature throughout both episodes.

  In all, we delivered nearly 30 minutes of content in fully graded sparkling HD. The show was aired in a primetime slot on BBC One in summer 2011.
